If there is one book that I would recommend all of my friends to read, it is bell hooks' The Will to Change. In this book, bell hooks details the problems of our patriarchal society.
It is a unique read without much fluff. Some words are daggers that will cut you, while others gently give you a new perspective.
This book made me rethink my relationships and my role in them. Relationships between my parents, sisters, friends, and of course between romantic partners.
